When Gladys turned 15, she went to live in a children’s home consumed by negative thoughts and having very little faith in God. Living in fear, with no hope, she remembers praying “God, if you really exist and want to do justice, I ask that not what I want but that your will be done.”

When she left the home Gladys was discipled by Daniel and Deborah, a Christian couple from her local church, and they supported her as she came off drugs and drinking.  They discipled her on a weekly basis, praying with her and regularly visiting her home. They played a key part in Gladys’ transformation.

“I knew God was healing and cleaning my heart, and I simply couldn’t explain it. God was working within me, and when I turned 21, I gave my life to Jesus.” 

Her negative thoughts began to change, “I began to truly believe my life had value, that I'm God’s daughter, and that He has a path for me.”
