GUATEMALA CUP

Earlier this year before we all witnessed an incredibly entertaining World Cup in Brazil this summer, over 230 former street children from 19 countries travelled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a football tournament, festival of arts and a participatory conference for children’s rights. These children went to stand united for the rights of street children across the world.

Here in Guatemala we did our bit! A match took place between street youth and young adults who are part of the 'Young Adults with Purpose in Guatemala' programme. There was an ice-breaker game beforehand, a half time evangelistic talk given by a local Pastor and food was served by girls from the My Special Treasure children's home to all at the end.

It was a great day and a great time of interaction with the street youth. We long to see lives restored and transformed!

A big thank you to all who participated! Please continue to pray for both the girls living at My Special Treasure and the young adults as they serve those in need, and for Time of Rescue's ongoing work with street children and youth.
